The Kiwanis Club of St. Andrews - Easter Egg Hunt Each year on Easter Weekend, members of the Kiwanis Club of St. Andrews hide Easter Eggs (provided by the Town of St. Andrews). The eggs are hidden at the Passamaquoddy Lodge and children of all ages gather to find the eggs, much to the delight of the Lodge residents. In the case of inclement weather, the hunt is held at the the W. C. O'Neill Arena or the Fire Hall. You are invited: 2008 Children's Easter Egg Hunt: The Kiwanis Club of St. Andrews holds its annual Children's Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday March 23 at the St. Andrews Fire Department Station on Reed Avenue starting at 2 p.m., co-sponsored by the Town of St. Andrews. Free admission. Children are asked to bring their own basket. 2007 Easter Egg Hunt Story and photos by: Susan Lankisch Mother Nature still had a chill in the air on Easter Sunday, so the annual St. Andrews Kiwanis Children's Easter Egg Hunt was moved inside to the W.C. O'Neill Arena for the second time in as many years. Over 90 children, their parents and a few grandparents from the St. Andrews area as well as a few visiting for the Easter Holidays waited with eager anticipation in the lobby of the Arena for the doors to open to the main rink area for the 2:00 PM hunt. St. Andrews Kiwanis members had donned Bunny Ears and spend part of their afternoon scattering and hiding foil covered chocolate Easter Eggs through out the dressing rooms, bleachers and along the rink boards. The Town of St. Andrews generously provides the eggs for this annual Hunt and there is always enough for every seeker. With a few words to welcome the seekers and directions that the arena was divided into age groups for the start of the Hunt, the doors were opened for the enjoyment of everyone. No eggs were left undiscovered and no basket left unfilled with chocolate bounty. Special thanks to Tim Sharkey, Arena Manager for opening up the facility on the Holiday weekend from the Kiwanis Club of St. Andrews and for the delight of everyone who attended.
